Premise and Situation:
All
hospitals must have a disaster preparedness program.
Manila
Doctors Hospital has a written structured disaster preparedness program as of
1992. Problems have been implementation, updating, and sustainability.
Objectives:
To
reactivate and update the written structured comprehensive hospital disaster
preparedness program.
To
implement the program either through real or simulated disasters.
To
evaluate the disaster preparedness program.
To
formulate a strategy for sustainability.
To
create a model of a hospital disaster preparedness program for public relations
and marketing purpose.
Evaluation:
There
is a written hospital disaster preparedness plan (hdpp).
There
is a structured hdpp.
The
hdpp is disseminated to all heads of units and to least 80% of the personnel.
The
hdpp is being used in real disasters or simulated disasters (at least once a
year).
The
hdpp is being evaluated at least after each real disaster and updated
thereafter (at least once every 2 years).
