I. Introduction

First of all, in behalf of the Hospital Administration and the Disaster Preparedness Committee, I would like to thank everybody for participating in the June 20, 2006 MDH Earthquake Drill, the first ever conducted during the past 20 years, if not in the history of MDH.

I would like to acknowledge the presence of the members of the MDH Disaster Preparedness Committee, the various sector coordinators, members of the hospital administration (names), and guests and observers from the National Disaster Coordinating Council (represented by ….) and from the Philippine National Red Cross (represented by …….).  Personally, I like to thank all of these people for helping and supporting our earthquake preparedness program and the drill.  Without them, the project would not have come to a fruition.

We are meeting at this time for a post-earthquake drill debriefing session.  To facilitate our task, we will use a checklist which we prepared and which adopted from the Hospital Disaster Drill Evaluation developed by the Johns Hopkins Evidence-based Practice Center.  I would like to enjoin everybody to participate in this evaluation, including our guests and observers.
