Dear Ms. Flores:

This is to inform you that on June 20, 2006, at 9:00 am, the Manila Doctors Hospital will conduct an earthquake drill.

The drill will be hospital wide but with selective evacuation.

Our target is to train at least 500 staff; 100 patients; and 100 visitors of the hospital on earthquake preparedness.

We have formulated an earthquake preparedness and response plan based on a hospital setting. During the drill, we will test this plan.

We would like to invite representatives from your office to observe and evaluate our plan. We hope that with your help and with refinement after the drill, our plan can serve as a model earthquake preparedness and response plan in a hospital setting, especially in a private hospital.

We would also like to invite you to cover the drill which can help promote earthquake preparedness in a hospital setting in the country.
